“Does this TV come with a removable film over the screen? My sister's TV came with a barcode sticker right on the screen. I'm thinking that someone returned it and they sold it as new. Can't think of any other explanation.”

Yes, there were stickers on what appeared to be on my screen but really its a few stretches of tape and a screen protector that you need to remove - fairly standard practice for TVs these days.
