No, just has a high peak nits to help combat it. I have a fairly bright room and its not perfect but even dark scenes are still alright overall.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe that when manufacturers say that a TV is appropriate for bright rooms, they are saying that the TV is bright enough. Of course no brightness will counteract when the TV is displaying black or dark screens.
