- Answer I assume any sound system sound way better then the tiny built in speaker I this TV, just use your sound bar, or even your stereo speaker as I do. I really like this TV, but the built in sound is awful, like with most of those kind of TVs: it is physics: not enough volume for sound. Just my 2 cents

QuestionDistance of vesa mount holes from bottom of set?

- Answer I measured the distance from bottom : 170 mm so holes are not vertically centered ( top edge to top hole: 260 mm) Distance from side edge: 522mm ( holes are perfectly centered). This is for a 65 inch model.

- Answer What i can tell you is that the Hisense U8N 65" has 1600 dimming zones (according to the Canadians @ Rtings) which i consoder to be TCL's competition... the 2023 QM8 had 1080 dimming zones, so my guess would be they added close to or just a few more than Hisense. But by no means are there anywhere near 5000+ dimming zones... my guess would be that figure is accurate in regards to TCL 115" that retails @ $20k. Them not being up front about dimming zones is just like audio companies not releasing the actual rms watts for their audio equipment. Typical BS. I recently purchased U8N 65" tv and plan to do side by side comparison in store once new QM8 is on display.
