• To control functions like power and volume controls using your TCL Roku TV's IR remote, your TV must be connected via the Sound Bar's AUX or Optical port. If you have an RF voice TCL Roku TV remote, it will not be able to control these functions. This soundbar also comes with its own remote. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

• It has its own remote. Since I'm not so savvy with electronics, I'm still trying to partner soundbar with my Directv remote. I have to adjust volume separately.
