A:AnswerIt is not hard like an otterbox. The case itself is malleable. Once on the phone it feels firmer. I have used these cases on my current and past 2 galaxy phones. it is very good. My kids use them on their iphones and they have dropped their phones many many times. Easy to get on and off when needed, but not so easy that it could come off. I carry my phone in my pants pocket and it is not easy to slide out because the material has a slight rubbery feel and grips to things.
