Q: QuestionIf this blower was mounted on the roof would it need a cover to be weatherproof? As shown on the photograph, it would appear to need some kind of additional cover or protection from the elements. This question has been asked before but not answered.

• A:Answer This blower is designed to be installed either on a wall or on a rooftop using a roof mounting plate, so I don't think it needs any protection to be weatherproof. The photo shows the enclosure with the intake opening facing up and the exhaust on the right. When mounted on a wall, the intake would be facing the wall to connect to the ducting and the exhaust facing down. When roof mounted, the intake would be facing down to connect to the ducting and the exhaust would face the lower side of the roof.

• A:Answer Hello there, thanks for your question and interest in model VTR2FZ. Per the installation instructions To reduce risk of fire and to properly exhaust air, be sure to duct air outside. DO NOT vent exhaust air in spaces with walls or ceilings or into attics, crawl spaces or garages.
