Depends on what software you use for backup and type of backup performed.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to ask the publisher. As everything needs to be part of the registry on your computer, the registry on your older or external drive won't likely apply. Most publishers recognize that drives fail and will accommodate installation on a new computer. (If not, what jerks!) I don't' treat this as an application serving device, just as external storage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the dock does not have any duplication functionality, nor does it come with duplication software. It's just a dual-drive USB 3.0 dock for SATA drives. Even with a bit-for-bit duplicator, unless you are simply replacing the drive in the same system, you will likely have to register or at least reactivate your software again. Software activation typically factors a number of things about the system - network MAC, CPU ID, etc. Some software has the option to deactivate/unregister so you can reinstall it elsewhere. If your software is truly one-time install only licensed for the system it is initially installed on, you may not be able to use it on another machine even if you do manage to duplicate your drive. Also, if you are migrating to a significantly different machine, your OS may not be able to even start up successfully on the new system. For Office 2010 in particular, most times you can uninstall it on one system and install and activate it on another system, but if you do it too many times you'll have to call to get activated and may be denied depending on your license.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how you copy the drives. Clone should do it OK. If not than a call to Microsoft to tell them you are changing hard drives and then help you with activation again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Possible I have not tried that but you do have to have a cloning process and program. If the cloning program recognizes the shocking station it should do what you want to do
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.nope. there are programs out there that can do just that but after you have attached the drive with a device like this one
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit does not include any backup or cloning software. Backup and cloning functions will be determined by the software you provide. It is simply an external USB 3.0 2-port SATA controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this is just a dock to connect drives. The software used for cloning would determine if the clone was made. However, most software logs the device id for hd, motherboard, and or processor, to determine if a copy was made and re-registering is usually just a phone call...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes all my registered programs cloned perfect and I had no problems!!! Yes I had Office 2016 and Win 10.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.THERMALTAKE BLACX DOES NOT WORK. IT IS A KNOWN BROKEN/POORLY PERFORMING PRODUCT. I suggest you research online to find proof that you should not buy this product. It depends on your software's architecture, some are registered in DLL files, some registered in your windows Registry, and some are linked to your account like Adobe Cloud. The safest way to transfer programs is to first secure your program project/document files and then reinstall the program to the new location from scratch. Then all you have to do is run the program and look for/open the files that you secured previously.
