You can connect this to a usb2 connection and access a harddrive or ssd, this should work with macs but I have not tested it. I have not tested booting from this but it is not likly you should check thermaltakes website to see if it is listed. you should be able to drag files to copy them from your mac but your harddrive may not be able if it is in bad shape. you may have to use mac formated drives with this, it is a adapter.
