It would greatly depend on what you're transferring. Windows and Mac OS use different file systems to store data. If you have both operating systems on your machine, there are utilities that can give access to Windows files from the Mac OS side, but generally speaking it's not very easy to move one to the other. Additionally, the hard drive has to be removed from the Windows machine to be read by the Mac, and the device only works with SATA drives.

As is the case between different Windows systems, there may be a file system compatibility issues going to MAC. You can Google search "can I transfer windows data to a mac system" and several responses come up as well.
