• On some of the earlier units, yes a bios update was required, but current units are updated by the manufacturer.

• Hello Sometimes BIOS updates release after we put the system together so updates are required by the end users. The manufacturer can be different at the time of installation due to hardware availability. Everything in the machines will be compatible. Best Regard, Thermaltake Support
