- Answer Hello Kasey, Unfortunately since our Rear Camera's are Wide-Angle lens they cannot be used as a back-up camera due to proper depth perception.

QuestionI have limo tint on back window will the rear camera be able to take video ?

- Answer I have factory tint on my back window and it does pretty good. I wanna be completely honest and say that I know limo tint is darker so I'm really not sure. It's a really great camera with some good features but I wish I could help more, sorry.

QuestionCan I use my Verizon hot spot to connect to WiFi? I don't want to use data on my phone. I would like to store my recording directly to the Thinkware cloud. Is any of this possible?

- Answer If you want the parking mode or any of the features to work while your car is off: you have to get it hardwired do your battery, usually done by a professional. I guess an external battery like a power bank would work, technically, though I'm not sure who has a battery that comes with a car plug adapter. More power to ya if you find one.

- Answer Hello There, When the device enters Parking Mode, it goes into a sleep-like state in which the WiFi Network and the Buttons are disabled. Therefore in Parking Mode you will be unable to connect to the WiFi Network.

- Answer I have the f800 rear camera of the Thinkware company in my other vehicle. Between f200d and f800, I have not noticed any significant difference in the video qualities.

- Answer Kit only comes with cigarette lighter power adapter, so if you want parking mode to work you have to buy the hard wire kit separately.

Questionwhat is the power source on this? how are both front and rear cameras powered?

- Answer Yes, both cameras are powered off your car's battery through the front camera. I power mine with an always on 12 volt socket in my car. I have 2 sockets. One that is always on and one that shuts off with the key. You can buy a battery pack to run it off instead of your car battery, but they are expensive. I leave my run 24 hours a day and has never ran my battery down far enough so it would not start after 2 days. You can set the voltage in settings to any voltage you wish to shut off the camera so it won't run your battery down that low so it won't start. Of course, i have a good battery running at full capacity(like new!). If yours is not in good condition, I might not leave it on. I have a lot going on around my home, so i leave mine on in hopes of catching something interesting! Hope this helps! Ray128

QuestionI need to replace my front thinkware dashcam because the barrel jack connector is broken and doesn't allow the power cord to insert properly. If I buy a new front thinkware dashcam only, will it work with my existing car set-up? Can I use my old SD card?

- Answer Hello Mark, All our Dash Cam models use the same power cable, regardless if it's the cigarette cable, hardwiring kit, or OBD. The only cable you will need to replace is the Rear Cam Cable and the Rear Cam itself, as each model uses its own Rear Cam. - Answer Hello There, the Wi-Fi feature on the F200 PRO only works when you are in range of the Dash Cam. When connected, you will be able to access all features in the app.
