The hardwire is extra for around $29. and can be purchased at Best Buy or Amazon. See link attached to this answer. Really don't need it unless you want to record while the car is turned off and parked but battery drain may be an issue. I have tried many dashcams but the Thinkware F50 is by far the best for me. Hope this helps.

I bought both at best buy so one of the employees should be able to find it for you. Camera is excellent for the money by the way! Installed in a '79 Grand Prix. Best of luck bud.
