Can it still record when the car is turned off? null

To enable Parking Mode, the Dash Cam must be wired with our Hardwiring Kit or our OBD Cable. This way, the Dash Cam will continue to receive power once the vehicle is off. You will hear the Dash Cam announcing "parking recording will now start". This won't work with Always-On 12V cigarette ports, as the Dash Cam won't recognize that the vehicle is off. This will result in the Dash Cam staying on, but not switching to Parking Mode, which might cause battery drainage.

You can only record when the unit has power. If your cigarette lighter is always hot, then the unit will stay powered. Otherwise the 12v will not be present.
