The tile would be very far out of range at even a mile away. However, tiles do have the ability to pinpoint their last known location on your phone. In addition to that, every time someone with a tile walks by your tile, it will notify you of its exact location so that you can easily locate it even if it’s not in the “last known location”.
If you Mark it as lost then you go into the app and it uses other users Bluetooth enabled devices to locate your item. I left my wallet in another state and it was recovered and mailed back to me!
The tracker connects via bluetooth to phones, so it should at least show the last place where your phone connected to it. Also, I believe other people's phones setup with Tile will report location when they are in proximity of the device. The website should give more information about it though.
No, it would not work. It might tell you where it last showed up, but you couldn't be absolutely certain that is where it still was.
The Tile uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so it wouldn't ring and you would not see the current location but what does happen is that your phone keeps a record of the Tile's location if the Tile had a chance to check in. You would see the last location your Tile reported to the phone. Hopefully, you would see the last reported position.
With the subscription the Tile would have sent your phone a notification. It alerts you when you leave something behind and asks if you meant too.
No. But....it will show you the last place it was located.
Not quite sure how to answer this, since I just checked on my tractor which is in for maintenance and could see where it is (tractor repair) but it also notes out of range. Best way to answer this is that if you have tile premium, and set up tile to give you notifications when you start getting out of range, you have time to get back there and retrieve your missing item. (Less than 60 miles for sure). So check your settings, call where you think they are and check lost and found there.
Yes, use location history (GPS map)
