Depending on your equipment it may be possible, though it is likely best to assume that with the doors closed, and the sensors on your equipment blocked by solid wood doors, that any sensor on your remote will be unable to be seen/registered through the wood. Again, depending on your home theatre setup, it may be possible, but probably best to say that any piece of furniture with solid doors will run the risk of blocking your connection.
