• It doesn't have a specific speed requirement, but you'll need a good broadband to enjoy any of the streaming content (especially 4K which is very demanding)

• The internet is ONLY used for updates and service calls to retrieve your local channel line-up. In fact, my old TiVos used the phone line for this, so you should be fine so long as it's an always-on type of connection.

• Internet speed for streaming? 1.5 would work, but it would buffer. Two HD Channels and two SD channels work fine at 22.1 Meg.

• For the TIVO service, minimal - basic DSL. If you want to stream to your iPhone outside of your home, well, you will need higher speed outbound than DSL.

• I currently have the 50Mbps internet speed plan through TWC and it works great. It's actually faster to use apps from my Tivo than it is from my Samsung SmartTV.
