No. Turn in your cable box and ask for a M-Card. Insert the M-Card into the TiVo Bolt and activate it with your cable provider.

No. Your old cable box can be returned or placed in another room. You will need a CableCard. This is something rented from your cable provider. It's usually around $4 a month. That will authorize your TiVo to watch all of the channels you subscribe to. In some cases you might need a tuning adapter. Your provider will let you know if you need it. That is usually free (I didn't have to pay a fee for it when I had one with Time Warner.)
