No. Turn in your cable box and ask for a M-Card. Insert the M-Card into the TiVo Bolt and activate it with your cable provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Your old cable box can be returned or placed in another room. You will need a CableCard. This is something rented from your cable provider. It's usually around $4 a month. That will authorize your TiVo to watch all of the channels you subscribe to. In some cases you might need a tuning adapter. Your provider will let you know if you need it. That is usually free (I didn't have to pay a fee for it when I had one with Time Warner.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need a cable box. You need a CableCard from Cable company or Fios to get those channels. Or you can use an HD antenna to get over the air HD instead. Or just use it as a streaming box. Cord cutters would probably setup over the air to get ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CW, PBS channels if they are close to the stations. Where I live, I get both Boston and Providence stations over the air and then can stream Amazon, Netflix, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want the channels that you currently get on cable, a cable card is required, Verizon charges $4.99/month for cable card rental. I assume other providers are equivalent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope, you get a cable card from your service provider. For me Xfininty gave me one for free. They can charge a few dollars but far less than the DVR fee
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The Bolt will replace your cable box. You will need to rent a CableCard and possibly a tuner adaptor from your cable company, but it is considerably cheaper than your cable box. I have Time Warner and my CableCard and tuning adaptor is $2.50 per month for both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope the TiVo Bolt takes a M-Card, or multi-channel supporting Cable Card for all 4 (don't know if it'll do 6 channels or not) tuners. You rent this as you would a cable box from your provider. They are cheaper, so that's something....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use cable or an antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A cable CARD replaces the box and is placed in the bottom of the bolt. Call your provider for to get the cable card.
