A:Answeryour answer is yes. not only will you be able to stream and record all your local channel line up but also updated programs that isnt in the line up for recording on you tube. you can also recover programs you may have deleted as well. one of the most impressive things ive quickly noticed is the crisp sharp and colorful picture quality you get with this unit that beats my 70 inch vizio 4k tv. that was actually more than i even ask for. if you have a modem from comcast like me you may need an ethernet cable plugged in your modem thats very easy to connect. you will also need an antenna if you have over the air reception. well im sure you will love this unit as i do. A:AnswerYes, that's how it operates. Connect the antenna to Tivo (not to tv). Connect Tivo to your tv. Place your antenna for best reception. Scan your tv for channels.
