• It IS a DVR. With 2 tuners. Be sure to choose the right one--either Antenna or Cable

• I found those types of answers for myself on the Tivo website"s product description. Also, they have a good customer service team, along with WeakKnees. (2 channels can be recorded at once.)

• The TiVo is the very first company to develop the dot, and yes, this is a dvr. This unit only has two tuners, so it can only record two shows at one time. They do have one that you can get directly from TiVo that does 4 shows.
