• A:Answer You can. It will require a tuning adapter and a cable card provided by Spectrum so you will be able to receive all of your subscribed channels. But yes, you can use this dvr in place of theirs.

• A:Answer Same exact situation....my old DVR died and called the Tivo and agent transferred the lifetime subscription to another DVR box. This was few years ago. Give it a try. Good luck!

Q: QuestionWith TiVo Edge can I record Netflix or Prime Video to watch later? FYI: I read that it is not illegal to record licensed programming to view at a later time off internet as long as I don’t share or distribute the recording.

• A:Answer No. The Tivo Edge only records OTA programming. You can stream Netflix, but you can't record it.

• A:Answer The TiVo Edge receives all the channels my TV with antenna does. I also had a similar problem as you with the AirTV, missing some channels. Once you’ve done a channel scan on the Edge you have the ability to edit the channel list. You chose which channels show up in the TV guide.

• A:Answer Yes it does, and you need to have WiFi to make all features work. They sell a monthly or yearly service that makes the TiVo work, which needs WiFi to work properly as well.

Q: QuestionThe product image of the back of the TiVO EDGE does not show a port for an antenna. It shows a cable port. If this does product works only on antenna and not on cable, where does the antenna go. Is the product image accurate? (Attached photo is blurred.)

• A:Answer your antenna likely has a coax cable. The Coax port the ONLY place you can connect any kind of antenna into a TIVO. You may be remembering the old flat antenna wires from a long time ago. There are adapters for whichever in / outlet pattern that you need-- I've seen adapters to connect coax to old TV's that need the flat antenna connection, but you need to go from flat to coax. Google this which will give you a pic and a source. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS VENDOR--I dunno if they're still in business. • A:Answer The TiVo service is like $8 a month, but if you pay up front like $250 you get unlimited service without further payment. I didn’t have enough to get the unlimited, so I’m doing the $8 a month. TiVo+ doesn’t cost extra though. I do enjoy recording shows from my local stations, and watching them later, and fast forwarding the commercials.

• A:Answer Yes, you pay for a Tivo subscription either monthly or annually. The fee pays for the guide data that's downloaded to the Tivo Edge, as well as software updates. No subscription = no programming guide data = no ability to record shows. If you pay for a full year up front the fee works out to approximately $6/month.
