$7/month or $70/year or $250/lifetime of DVR. Doing the math, take 3 years of monthly cost to break even on lifetime cost OR 3.5 years on yearly cost to break even on lifetime cost. Probably easier to resell if you buy lifetime of DVR service.

They also give you an all in option to pay for the lifetime a one time fee. They only give this option when you first purchase a unit. The service gives you the TiVo interface TV Guide with the ability to setup recordings and to also watch your recorded shows on your wireless tablet or phone using the TiVo app or any computer and their website. There are a lot of nice features.
