“compatible with comcast? Have wireless Comcast/included in my association. Want to return the regular cable box and use this one. Will continue with Comcast account/signal; so I would be able to also record without having to pay the monthly fee to TIVO. Is that possible? THANKS”

Works fine with regular cable, but I had to get cable card from cable Co. to unscramble their signal. Cable card cost $2.50. Totally worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is only possible to use Tivo and not pay a monthly fee as long as the Tivo you are going to use has a lifetime service already paid for or included with that specific unit. Otherwise you'll end up paying the monthly fee to use their service.
