• No this Tivo is over the Air DVR They do have many others that work with cable Also can get used ones E bay or Craigslist ( if u go that route find one the has lifetime service No Monthly Service I checked with Tivo & it is transferable one time)

• The regular Roamio box may be. The Tivo OTA is for antenna only.

• It isn't; since it is only works for OTA (over the air) tv shows - i.e. antenna - you can't use it with cable. Better to get a regular Tivo Romio instead for that purpose
