There is no lifetime subscription available for the Tivo Roamio OTA. All the other Tivo Roamio DVR models have lifetime subscription available, though.

There isn't a lifetime subscription; it's $15/month forever; essentially, you get 4 yrs use out of it before the amount you pay equals the amount you would pay for a regular Roamio with lifetime service.

To me, this essentially gives you up to 4 yrs to use it and then move on if a better thing comes along without worrying that you paid everything up front with the regular Roamio if, say, an even better model (or alternative solution) comes along in those 4 yrs. A better investment basically.

Best to check the TiVo web site as they've changed their pricing structure. Although for the OTA version only they are not offering lifetime to keep the price of the box itself down. Still worth it IMHO.

As of this date, TiVo does not offer a Lifetime Subscription for the TiVo Roamio OTA. I'm hoping this will change.

Presently a lifetime subscription is not. Available on the OTA but they are considering adding one payable over a two year period.

I think I heard that it was $500, but if the unit breaks & you replace it the lifetime goes away I think.
