You need to purchase the car charger that allow the traffic function to work on the unit. It is awesome
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey Jeffrey, This unit does not give 'real-time' traffic as you will find on our smartphone connected devices. Rather, it receives traffic information via radio signal tuned to your local network. This will still provide traffic information and will allow the device to re-route accordingly, but this is not as timely or accurate as TomTom Traffic. For a device that does this, I recommend looking at the GO 52 / 520 / 620 Cheers, - Cameron at TomTom
