I would say "maybe". It depends how much power that station broadcasts with. I can pick up a couple stations 30-40 miles away (San Francisco metro area), but there's static unless the antenna is positioned just right. I have a few old boomboxes from the 80s and they have better reception than this does. Today's boomboxes don't have quality FM tuners, because they figure consumers don't care about that anymore. So in your situation I would recommend buying something with an antenna port on the back that would allow you to connect an external antenna. - Hans Thoma

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's possible, but there are a few variables (presuming FM band): Broadcasting strength of the station, obstructions (ie., hills), multipath reception, whether or not the radio is in a city/near an airport, etc. I live in a very hilly area and can pick up an FM station that is slightly over 45 miles away, but it's fuzzy but I can still understand the announcer and music. FM is a 'line of sight' transmission and that will be the strongest determination of reception. Hope this helps.
