• A:Answer I found my TV doing this when i reset it - I think it may default to it after resetting to factory settings - I'm pretty sure it is part of text-to-voice, designed to help those with poor eyesight operate the TV and to understand the descriptive text in closed caption programming. I believe the setting is under the main menu>accessibility>Voice Guide, which you want to disable. There is another section, the TV remote tutorial, which might actually be involved, but the manual says if you turn off Voice guide, the TV remote tutorial will also be disabled. You can pull up the manual by searching for the model # - 43L511U18

• A:Answer Hi, According to the manual, it stated “Your TV should only be operated from the power source indicated on the label.” On my label it said 120V~. So, I’m assume that it will not work on 220V. I also took pictures and attached to this question for your review. Q

Q: QuestionSo, this morning our lab ate our remote for this TV and I am having a hard time finding a replacement. Does anyone know of a universal remote that I could use with this TV? The issue is the chromecast as I cannot find any universal remotes that have this.

• A:Answer Why is it that TV remotes have that "beef" flavor that attracts dogs? Been there before! Did you setup the smart phone connection for Chromecast? Maybe that would help. I've yet to use the Chromecast feature on this TV. I did setup the app/smartphone, just haven't used it. I'm thinking that showing Chromecast on the screen is just an input selection on the Toshiba and then you control it from the source , like your iPad or phone or computer, whatever you are "casting" from to select and start and stop, etc.. Volume and other controls should be part of the universal remote. If there is a part of the operation not covered by this, let me know please. I might learn something! I really only use Chromecast on an older TV that was not "smart" so we view Netflix on it via Chromecast from an iPad. Good Luck.

• A:Answer I am not sure, but it would be VERY unusual if it could. There is a driver needed or most peripherals like keyboards and mice or bluetooth adapters. Because those drivers aren't all preloaded in the memory of the TV and you can't provide it to the TV, the chances are it will not work. I have reviewed the owners manual and there is no indication that the USB connection can be used for anything other than displaying pictures of certain formats stored on a USB drive. If you have a gaming system there should be provision for what you may be thinking. I was able to use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo with my PS3 (or was it Xbox 360?) for web surfing through the game console. Good Luck!
