A:AnswerIt is the backlights. They burn out because the voltage is too high on each LED. They will need to be replaced using the a great deal of patience. You will probably break the paper thin screen. Then the feedback circuit will need to be checked for open 100 ohm resistors. I don't think you can adjust the backlight level on these sets. I have my personal TV's on 15% backlight level. Bright levels only adjust the transparency of the screen. Good luck!
