• A:Answer Most often in the store all you see are prerecorded video.Most people don't understand that when you are viewing video,what you see on the screen is whatever the original format the video was either broadcast in or recorded in. If your video is broadcast or recorded in 1080i then that's what you will see on the screen or 780i or now Ultra High Def,etc.,etc.So,in the store you will almost always be looking at prerecorded video just to show you the full potential of the set.So,more often than not those prerecorded videos are made in the highest of definition.When you get the set home you will usually find that air and cable broadcasts are not always in the best of definition due to the fact that they do not all use the highest levels of definition.Also everything depends on the strength of your cable or broadcast signals.Video on DVD or digital video off the internet can usually be found in reliably higher definition than television.That's just the nature of how it works.If you're using an antenna try a better one.If you have cable,you need to have it checked out or get a better cable company.I use air waves and internet only(I hate cable and with this set you don't need cable if you have internet.)I get 24 channels over the air and most are very clear and most are high def.
