Does this TV have the smooth motion effect? null

yes, so far it is motion effect is working fine.

This is not a high motion refresh TV, the upscaling does a great job of creating a depth of field. I have noticed great detail in my old movies but watching the Big Game this year I was not wowed. My purchased was value driven not performance driven. If refresh rate is important I might look at something in the $1500 range not $300-$500.
