“How do I attach a sound bar and surround sound system to this TV? Is the eARC an output?”

• Use optical cable if you want to use the hands free Alexa as you would an echo dot. Cause if you use HDMI then when tv is off there would be no sound and you wouldn't be able to hear Alexa. I learned this the first time I turned off the tv with sound bar connected to HDMI. Also have to disable standby or auto power off mode for sound bar so that it stays on 24/7.

• Attach an HDMI to the sound bar and ARC (or eARC). ARC stands for Audio Return Channel, the sound bar also must have an ARC or an eARC input as well. eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) was invented to pass along features like Dolby TrueHD, Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio.
