• If your laptop has a SATA plug for a hard drive, then it will work. Though laptops of that age typically do have SATA but not the fastest version.

• You go online to find out if your laptop is compatible with this drive...I've done it with 3 of my laptops (Dell, Fujitsu, and Lenovo) They work Great!!!
