• A:Answer I can't answer definitively but this drive does come with a 2mm spacer, in case the 7mm of this drive is too short.

• A:Answer It can mechanically displace any 2 1/2 " drive; what you have to make sure for some older laptops is that the address capability, e.g. the Toshiba Satellite T135 cannot accept drive capacities above 320GB.

• A:Answer The install itself is easy depending on how many screws have to be removed and re-inserted in your laptop to gain access to the drive; but this is independent of the hdd / ssd. The bulk of the time is spent in "cloning" the SSD since most likely it will be used in a single drive laptop.

• A:Answer I use a 1 TB WD and a 500MG WD Pocket on the same laptop. No problems in the last several years. I did with out the HD to a Toshiba SS 256 HD. Much faster and with Win 10 it smokes.

• A:Answer You need to copy all the data from your old drives to your new drives. If one of them is a boot drive, you will have to utilize cloning software to clone that drive first. Then simply copy the data from the other 160GB hard drive once you boot from your new Toshiba SSD.

• A:Answer Aloha: Yes they do make SSD with PATA interface, but, they are considerably more expensive (just google PATA SSD) and the performance gain is not that much based on price/performance/storage size. There is tons of varying opinions on this...so take my opinion with a grain of salt... In addition, if you are not running Win7 or higher or linux...then that is another negative.. (I believe this laptop came with XP?)

• A:Answer If your laptop has a SATA HDD it will work. It will not if its standard IDE. In most cases installation is easy and takes just a few minutes.

• A:Answer Aloha: based on the specs provided by Samsung on your model, yes, this will "Work". However, please note the interface is only a SATA2 (which is okay) but you will not get the full performance gain as provided by Toshiba (read, read/write speeds). But yes to be clear, this will work....
