It's not as light as an Apple laptop or a modern ultrabook. It's lighter than a higher-quality 15.3" laptop from Dell or HP that has a metal chassis or frame. But as with any 15.3" laptop, it's going to have some heft. It's also going to be big enough that you'll need a substantial bag to carry it. Because it has a plastic chassis, you'll definitely want a sturdy bag for it; it may not survive being tossed around in a non-padded bag.
