In my opinion... ABSOLUTELY NO. I purchased one and returned it because the design and build quality were poor. It was not a durable enough machine to last probably beyond 1 - 2 years of average use. It's priced and built as an economy, consumer grade, machine - i.e. "No"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it would if you didn't use it for work in a job where you have to travel a lot. The first thing I noticed about this Toshiba was that it had "give" to it. Not as much substance as my old Toshiba. But hey, you are trading off portability for sturdiness. If this is a unit you are going to use at home on your desk (can't really use it on your lap, it gets to hot) and don't have kids banging away on it, should be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a great laptop and if you take care of it can last you up to 5 years and more, I have a Toshiba Satellite L505 and it's almost 6 yrs old.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The hinges COMPLETELY failed just after warranty expired. Never had that happen before. I see other reviews complaining of the same thing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is. It is a Student friendly either college or high school. The device is a little bit delicate so you have to treat it as is. Also, it is very light in weight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I sure hope so. My last Toshiba lasted me 7 years. I only purchased a new one because I have different needs now. The 7 year old one is being cleaned and given to my cousin I fully expect it to last him his full four years of high school.
