The Archer C50 offers newer, dual-band (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11ac WiFi 5 connectivity, whereas the C1100Z offers only single-band, 802.11n WiFi 4 connectivity. Please not that your Zyxel C1100Z is a DSL modem/gateway device, while the Archer C50 is just a WiFi router. You will still need a DSL modem to connect to your Internet provider when using the Archer C50. Regards, TP-Link Support
