“Will I need to change equipment (Boards in computer, cell phone, internet TV receivers) to make use of the three bands? Will an existing wifi receiver plugged into my home computer (2.4 band, 2.4 Netgear unit) still work ok with this router?”

Hi! Yes, this router supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi technology, so your devices that support only 2.4GHz will connect to the 2.4GHz band, and dual-band devices will be able to choose between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is just your standard Wi-Fi router: A network cable (RJ45) goes from the MODEM to this unit. Then using DHCP this unit doles out IP addresses to the units connecting to it. That would include both wireless and wired connections.
