- Answer Yes, the AX3200 is compatible with our OneMesh mesh service. You will need a compatible Extender like the RE505X or RE603X to make use of it. So you know OneMesh is not compatible with our Deco Mesh system.

QuestionWill I need to change equipment (Boards in computer, cell phone, internet TV receivers) to make use of the three bands? Will an existing wifi receiver plugged into my home computer (2.4 band, 2.4 Netgear unit) still work ok with this router?

- Answer Hi! Yes, this router supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi technology, so your devices that support only 2.4GHz will connect to the 2.4GHz band, and dual-band devices will be able to choose between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

- Answer I have the AX3200 set up in the bedroom closet of a 4200 sq 2 story home. Fed by a DOCSIS 3.1 modem with a 1 gig connection I get consistent WiFi speeds up to 600gbps upstairs and 300 on the first floor with 60-80 connected clients. I'm on a large lot and although speeds over 70gbps is available i opted to add a TP Link mesh extender and now have up to 200gbps available with seamless transition between both nodes. All this with almost no annoying drops. You make your own judgement

- Answer Hi! One important factor is the square footage of your home. For many homes, this router should work just fine. However, for a larger, or multi-level home, we would suggest considering one of our Deco Mesh Wi-Fi Systems, ideally one with Gigabit, Wi-Fi 6, Tri-Band capabilities.

- Answer Hi! This TP-Link Tri-Band AC3200 Wi-Fi router is not a modem, so you will still need a cable modem to use in conjunction with the router.

QuestionIs this compatible with a HughesNet Gen 5 system? If so, how would I connect it to the Gen 5 modem/router so that I bypass their router and use the TP-Link router?

- Answer Thats not how wireless routers work. You would need a wireless router/modem combo or to buy each separate. I am not sure that you can do that with hughesnet. I would look it up to see if you can use your own modem with hughesnet. My suggestion would be to switch from hughesnet to maybe starlink.

QuestionWhat is the most optimal way to place this device? Will plopping it horizontally on a SHELF provide a bit more reach (across the home) than hanging it off a nail VERTICALLY on a wall (right near that same SHELF and at roughly the same height)?

- Answer The signal goes horizontal. So allways best to leave the antennas vertically. Doesn't matter where it is!!

- Answer It looks like it should. The cable MODEM connects to the Archer 3200 and the Archer doles out the addresses to the local network (Wi-Fi and wired)
