“This router does not have WPA3. Why? How important is WPA3? And if you think it's not important then why was WPA3 developed? Thanks for any input.”

wpa3 is the upcoming soon to be offered encryption. If you're looking for future proofing now, the router should have this however it can be pushed with firmware so who knows, if you don't have it then now it could come later. It's too new to tell. There are a lot of result for wpa3 too if you quick search.
