A:Answer No battery, the cord gets plugged into a standard outlet - that's what provides power to the camera. Good instructions, setup is very easy (even I was able to do it). With Kasa cams, I can use my phone to do a quick check on my dogs and verify that the garage door is closed, with the correct number of cars IN the garage.
