• Yes, it can. I am not sure how they know the sunrise/sunset time, but since it is connected to the internet, I assume they do track location and find the time from there. I personally use this for the sunrise/sunset program for my front yard, and it has been working perfectly.

• Yes, I have it set on my driveway light. You can just use the app to do it, a lot easier. I’m sure you can use alexa and make an automation, but their app is solid. Open app>tap the switch>schedule> Under time you can select action at sunset or sunrise.
