• No, our smart WiFi Light switches connect via 2.4GHz WiFi. If your router supports 5GHz WiFi, it should also support 2.4GHz (dual-band). Please check whether your router's 2.4GHz WiFi band is enabled prior to installation. Regards, TP-Link Support
