QuestionCan I extend the duration of recording once it identifies a person or vehicle? It currently records to short a period to see people exiting vehicle.

- Answer For me I don’t extend the duration time if someone still has activity camera still record or you just live view your camera the record it. For me I used iPhone the recorded file went to my photo album. This is a good camera I like it. I bought them when they on sale.

QuestionI just purchased one of these cameras, I have it in the front of my house and it won’t detect any vehicles maybe 30ft away. I do have it set to the highest sensitivity 10. How can I fix this?

- Answer Maybe change the angle the camera is facing. The camera works better if the subject is moving across rather than towards the camera

- Answer Yes, through cloud to cloud interaction all Tapo devices can be linked to Google Home and seen in the app. Control however is limited on cameras for security purposes. You can ask Google so show the live view of the camera but that is really the only command available to any smart assistant.

QuestionDoes this camera allow firmware updates? If so how often. Will there be 4k in the future? How come the battery is not replaceable? If battery no longer works, us consumers should be able to replace battery(s) instead of buying a new camera for replacment.

- Answer Yes - these cameras work great without storing video in the cloud. There is a flap on the bottom which covers the micro SD Card slot. They also can send an RTSP stream if you've got your own NVR to feed the stream into.
