“Does this phone work unlocked with all carriers? Does it have a mobile hotspot? If this phone doesn't apply I am looking for a flip phone with these features. Please advise thanks”

I was told by Tracfone that you can now only use a phone as a hotspot if you buy a specific $40/month plan. I had found it useful to use my flip phone (othet kind, not Alcatel myflip) as a hotspot. When it stopped working tthat way, i thought something was wrong with my phone. I asked about it on the chat and was told i can no longer use that feature of my phone. I'm unhappy with this reduction of service.

For customers with Apple devices: • TracFone will automatically unlock the device when it becomes eligible for unlocking. • For all Apple devices activated with Straight Talk prior to November 23, 2021, the device will be automatically unlocked after 12 months of active TracFone service. • For Apple devices activated with new TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the device will be automatically unlocked 60 days after activation in the absence of an indication of fraud. If you have not met the required minimum period of active TracFone service, TracFone may unlock your device, but you will incur a charge of up to $300, depending on how long your service was active prior to the unlocking request.
