From Product Features: 3G data speed for fast Web browsing and multimedia downloads Download videos, music and movies. Are you sure the e-mail said that 3g was going away? I just bought this phone. I got a message from my carrier that 2g was going away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The phone has not been activated yet as it is a replacement phone for my father-in-law, we haven't had the chance to give it to him. I did call Tracfone today as your question made me a little nervous. The support person I spoke with checked the serial number from the phone and said that it would be workable in 2017. I repeated the question twice just to satisfy myself. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It had better. Are you certain Tracfone said 3G is going away, not 2G? I had received message from TracFone that 2 G was going to be obsolete, so I purchased this LG 441G. It works fine ( so far). Since TracFone is selling it ( Best Buy had a better price) I can only assume that it will be good after 12/31/16. Of course we all know what happens when you assume things. I'd check with TracFone to verify.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if it's too late now, but Tracfone should have or may have offered you a FREE replacement. Check your Tracfone account and look at the details of your old phone to see if there's a link. (or call Tracfone).
