No landlines are a whole different number system for that reason. You can get the California lifeline metered rate $5.99 per month & forwarding to your tracphome & back. Forwarding costs a little more than $5.99 you can add a long distance block so noone can ring up your bill but you can't dial long distance from landline unless you change it back hold times you have to do on your "day off"...
