I bought it in-store and it came with a code in a box on a piece of paper. On the Micro Trend website you can request a physical disc if you want but I went through the download process and it wasn't terribly difficult. If you buy this just read the steps online for download and code redeeming instructions, I think you will be fine. I am a person with average computer knowledge and I got it up in running in a little under an hour.
