Q: QuestionCan I download Quicken to both a Mac and a PC? I Want to us my PC because I have last years Turbo Tax on it.

• A:Answer do not keep your taxes on your PC. if you get hacked they would have ALL your finicancial information. i keep all my tax info on a thumb drive (2 actually) in both a .tax file version and a .pdf so i can open the file to read it without reloading the software again. i keep both thumb drives in a safe that is fire and water rated. every year when i do my taxes i put in the thumb drive and install the new software and when it asks to import last years data i point it to the thumb drive. when it asks to save the file i point it to the thumb drive. very easy.

• A:Answer If you buy it in a store in a box, it has a disk. Some retailers may just have a card on the shelf so in that case, you will have to download the program. If you order it online, you can choose to get the disk or just the download. Once you subscribe to TT, you can request a disk every year of you want. The download is fairly quick if you have high speed internet over about 100 mbps.

I've used the disk-based version on both systems and filed from Mac and Windows, so this digital download should be the same. Intuit says, yes, you may e-file 5 returns: Includes 5 federal e-files and 1 state download. State e-file additional.

Q: QuestionThis come with 1 e-file state. I do NOT want to e-file but do need to file in multiply states. Will turbotax generate the other state returns and then I can print them out and mail? Or, can I select the one state which is not my primary state?

• A:Answer You do not have to e-file. Just print, sign, and mail (and include tax payment unless you are getting a refund). If you want to file for more than 1 state, you have to purchase the additional state downloads, which will cost you extra.
