“Is this headset good for hearing footsteps and other things like that? (I play a lot of Rainbow Six Siege)”

They will work OK, but not great. You will hear the footsteps and such and will be able to tell if they are to your left or right but not if they are in front of or behind you. They are stereo not surround sound.

Depends on your game settings, I had no problem with any of the audio being cut out or anything so you should be fine :)

Yes, even if you turn up the Tv Volume you would still hear it, But to answer your question : Yes

I do not play a lot of shooters. However every game that I do play I am able to hear exactly what is going on around me at all times.
