• I want to say the main difference is this carries some additional padding on the headset arch. I haven't used the $36 version but seem to remember that difference during my comparison shopping experience.

• I believe the difference is the mic monitoring feature. You can hear yourself speak so you don't have to scream.

• that's correct, the 36.99 one doesn't come with an adapter.

• Not sure which $36 headset you are talking about, but I am guessing that the cheaper headset does not come with the controller and headset adapter. The Turtle Beach adapter is about $40.
